I thought that you might want to read the beginning of the Punk in Pink to either re-cap or for the first time so that you can follow the story more easily!

Over the next few days I will post the chapters I did last year – I myself am finding I’m having to re-read the whole thing plus the notes I made last year :/

I plan to post bits of the story again this year but I’m going to reduce it down to 1000 words roughly instead of the 2 K posts I was doing last year as I’ve been told people struggle with large word counts reading off the screen!

As last year these will be rough raw writing. I’m dyslexic and the story is being written straight onto the blog so you’ll have to lump the typos, spellings and grammar! Or you wait a couple of years and pay money for a re-fined copy – the choice is yours.

Today is the first of November 2010 and that can mean only one thing! It’s NaNo time!

Yes I will be attempting to write 50, 000 words in a month 🙂 I managed this with room to spare last year and thought I would try for a higher target this year because I am nutty!

So I will be going for 60 K – that’s 2000 words a day which is roughly what I was writing last year anyway 🙂

Of course we will have to see how this goes with my hands 🙁

But I am excited and about to get down to the knitty gritty writing bit 🙂

I have decided to do the Picture Book Idea Month over on Orange Monster in November too 🙂 I did this last year along with the Nano challenged and they complemented each other quiet well!

There is also going to be editing that novel – as it is for a competition with a due date of Dec 31st!

Yes I am mad!

I haven’t really worked on the Punk in the way I was planning this year due to various things – mainly health but I am planning to give it a good old bash this year. I am however going to be breaking the rules slightly and be working on last years novel again!

I have been reading and picking up facts all year which I thin will help greatly with the storyline. One thing I have also done in consolidate more the back story and where the story is actually going – this is the series story arch.

I have done some world building exercises such as writing flash fiction pieces as part of the twitterverses #Fridayflash which eek out the near history/our near future within the Punks universe.

I have also bought my jar of jelly beans and some seaweed crackers. Like last year I am pregnant but this pregnancy is further on and hopefully will result in a baby which last years sadly didn’t 🙁

Obviously I am rationing jelly beans to reduce chances of gestational diabetes etc… and hubby will meter out a whole five to me each day. I do have some decaff coffee but don’t really like it at the moment so am construction fruit infusions at home as my treat drink – these are made from scratch so I can keep an eye on sugar too.

There will also have to be a lot of pain management and pacing in place as pregnancy gives me arthritic hands :/ and so typing can become painful. I am also using crutches which is hard on the hands too :/

Anyone who wants to buddy me on the NaNoWriMo forum I am 5affy! I will also be posting updates on twitter mostly as @TheMonsterBlogs this year rather than @Saffy though if you want all the domestic and science stuff too feel free to add both accounts 🙂 I tend to only add people I have @message conversations with so say hi!

As a warm up for NaNoWriMo I have decided to do a made thing – that made thing is GothNoWriMo.  This writing challenge states you are to write 20-70 K in the month of October, leaving you with a piece of gothic or dark fiction!

I have set up Black Monster for the purpose of posting updates on how this writing endevour is going 😉

I am also desperatly trying to finish another novel at the moment too!
